# Integration account mappings and reference fields

Some integrations can expose several external accounts from one or more connections. Client account mappings connect a client to those accounts. More than one active mapping can exist, and one may be marked as the default.

An **Integration Account Reference** field lets a task or process select a specific mapped account. Use it when a workflow must target something other than the client's default account. The field shows safe account labels and identifiers; it never reveals credentials.

If AgencyTitan asks you to choose a connection or account, make the selection explicitly. It will not guess when several active choices are available. Removing or disabling a mapping can leave an older saved reference readable while preventing new calls through that mapping.
