Public form submission settings

Use Public Forms to choose how each form connects a submission to a client. The Existing Client Matching setting applies per form.

  1. Open Settings, then Public Forms ( /settings/forms (opens in new tab) ).
  2. Select the form you want to configure.
  3. Open the Submission tab ( /settings/forms/:formId/submission (opens in new tab) ).
  4. Find Existing Client Matching.

You need permission to view Public Forms. Changes are saved for the form you are editing.

The default is Match client by email, then phone. For each submission, AgencyTitan checks for an exact email match first. If there is no email match, it checks for an exact phone match. A new client is created only when neither check finds a match.

To opt out of matching for a form, choose Always create new client. That option makes the submission create a new client instead of linking to an existing one.

If the matching details identify more than one possible client, the submission is sent to the review queue for a person to resolve. Review the candidates and choose the correct client, or choose to create a new client, before approving the submission.

  • A normal submission links to the existing client found by the configured matching rule.
  • A submission with no matching email or phone creates a new client when the default is selected.
  • A form set to Always create new client does not use existing-client matching.
  • An ambiguous match remains available for review instead of being attached automatically.
